Brenda, a native of Castlebar, studied for her Bachelor of Education at St. Patrick’s College, Drumcondra, before spending ten years teaching in Dublin, Australia, and the UAE. During these years, Brenda gained wonderful teaching experience in a range of schools and diverse multi-cultural settings. Her time in both Irish and International education environments has given her an appreciation and understanding of different teaching styles. She also spent time in Uganda volunteering at a primary school and training the local teachers.

Brenda has a special interest in music, sport and art. She loves to sing and play the piano, and ran the school choir in her previous teaching post in Dublin. She spent her youth playing tennis competitively, representing Connaught on several occasions. In her spare time, she loves to cook, travel with her family and enjoy the great outdoors. She is delighted to be back teaching and living in her home town.
