Parental Involvement and Garda Vetting.
Parental Involvement is central to our Ethos and therefore the working relationship and mutual respect between home and school is key in establishing an inclusive school. Parents can become involved in Castlebar ETNS in a variety of ways:
-
Become a parent volunteer-help supervise walks to the library, Lough Lannagh etc.
-
Help out for Art once a week-helping to get materials ready or help tidy up
-
Cover guided reading books at home
-
Be a Guest Speaker
-
Help organise a coffee morning for other parents
-
Share some of your expertise-gardening, craft activity, singing etc.
-
Read a story to the class
-
Share your ideas on a sub-committee ( fund-raising, parent/teacher association )
The possibilities of participation in school life are endless! The class teacher will supervise the children at all times however we ask parents to apply for Garda Vetting by filling in this form.
